SWMpro keeps your swimming data local. Your account is managed by us.
SWMpro is a local-first application. All session recordings, speed measurements, video footage, and any other swimming data you create or record while using the app are stored exclusively on your own device and are never transmitted to or stored on any server operated by Bakke Technologies or any third party.
To use SWMpro you sign in with an account provisioned by us (or your club/organization). Signing in requires us to store a small amount of account data — your email address and basic device information — on our own server, solely to operate the login and enforce your device limit. This policy explains exactly what that is, and confirms that nothing about what you record with the app ever reaches us.
Limited to what's needed to run your login.
To operate account login, SWMpro's server (operated by Bakke Technologies) stores:
- Your email address
- Your password, stored only as a secure one-way hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password
- A device identifier (a random ID generated by the app, not your device's hardware serial number or advertising ID) and a human-readable device label (e.g. "iPad", "Mac"), used solely to enforce the number of devices allowed per account
- The date/time of your most recent login, used to keep your session valid and to manage device slots
- A short-lived authentication token issued when you sign in
This data is used only to authenticate you and manage your account. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for tracking across other apps or websites.
Nothing about your swimming activity ever leaves your device.
SWMpro does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or process any of the following:
- Location data (GPS coordinates or coarse location)
- Health and fitness data (swim times, performance metrics, session history)
- Video or photo content recorded during sessions
- Speed and sensor data captured from the SpeedBox hardware
- Your device's hardware identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial number)
- Usage analytics or crash diagnostics
- Cookies or tracking pixels of any kind
- Payment or financial information
Your swimming data lives on your device only.
All data generated by using the app — session recordings, video files, speed traces, lap splits, and app settings — is stored locally in the app's sandboxed storage on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC. This data is:
- Never uploaded to any cloud service by Bakke Technologies
- Never shared with third-party services, SDKs, or analytics providers
- Accessible only to you and to the app itself
- Removed automatically when you delete the app from your device (account login data held on our server is separate — see Section 8 for deletion)
If you back up your device using iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder, your local app data may be included in that backup under your own Apple ID account, governed by Apple's privacy policy — not ours.
SpeedBox connection is device-to-device only.
SWMpro uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate directly with the SpeedBox sensor hardware. This is a direct, local connection between your device and the SpeedBox. No Bluetooth data is relayed to any external server. Speed measurements received over BLE are stored locally on your device only.
A server we operate ourselves — no third-party data broker.
Account data described in Section 2 is stored on a server operated by Bakke Technologies, hosted on cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud). This infrastructure provider processes the data only as our hosting provider and does not access it for its own purposes. All communication between the app and this server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
SWMpro does not integrate any third-party analytics services (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude), crash reporting services (e.g. Crashlytics, Sentry), advertising networks, or social media SDKs. The app contains no code that tracks your behavior across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Apple's own privacy practices.
SWMpro is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data as part of App Store operations (such as download statistics and crash reports submitted through the iOS system), governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy. Bakke Technologies does not have access to any such data in personally identifiable form.
Apple's Privacy Policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Norwegian Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven), and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of your personal data.
Because we now store a limited set of account data (Section 2) to operate your login, you can exercise these rights by contacting us (Section 12). We will:
- Confirm what account data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate account data on request
- Delete your account and all associated account data (email, device records, login history) within 30 days of a verified request
Your locally-recorded swimming data (videos, recordings, speed traces) is never held by us in the first place — deleting the app or clearing app data on your device is the only necessary step for that data.
Accounts are provisioned by an organization, not created by children.
SWMpro does not offer self-signup — accounts are created and managed by an administrator (e.g. a swim club or coach), not directly by end users. We do not knowingly collect account data directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's account was created without appropriate authorization, contact us and we will address it, including deletion if requested.
Local-first for your activity data; access-controlled for your account.
Your swimming data is protected by the security mechanisms built into your device, including app sandboxing and device encryption. Your account credentials are protected with one-way password hashing, encrypted transmission (TLS), and access to the account server is restricted to Bakke Technologies.
We will notify you of any changes.
If we change this Privacy Policy — for example, adding a feature that changes what data is transmitted — we will update this page with a new effective date and, where required by law, seek your explicit consent before any new category of data leaves your device.
The current version is always accessible at this URL and is linked from the app.
